Our kids really like the Red,White and Siver of this tree and would not let me put up our "old world" one with lots of fruit this year. They really just like that it has candy on it. Who wouldn't? We hope to add a few more with different themes to our home as everyone likes to have the lights in their rooms.

This is The 12 days of Christmas in Hawaii song that the 3rd and 4th graders sang this year. All of their songs were Hawaiian Christmas songs. I have to put the days up for you cause they are so funny and cute when they sing it!

Braxtyn's Updates
This is the outfit Auntie Heidi gave him when she visited for Thanksgiving and he fits it just perfect!!! Thanks Heid!
He is such a little ray of sunshine!!! Abigail and I love to babysit him everyday while his mom is at work...and Grandpa loves him too! He is getting so big and chunky...he is now 14 pounds.

Shelbylyn: She is the little Pumpkin Princess all Pumpkined out! She had so much fun being a "Newly Invented Princess." Alot of sparkles and hairspray went into that hair...can you say WILD!!!! They all loved that they didnt have the newest, best costume in the stores and they had a good time at the ward's Trunk-or-Treat!The Gang on Halloween!!!
So its been a while since we've posted anything on the blog and we have some catching up to do :) For Halloween Mom had a great idea for costumes! 99 cent shields at Goodwill...homemade swords (cardboard and tinfoil) and a few odds and ends. These would be the 3 Pumpketeers and the Pumpkin Princess. They were stoked! (L.tR.: Andrew, Shelby, Noah, and Joseph)

Auntie Abby here!!! I LOVE THIS LITTLE MAN!!!!! I think i have probably accumulated a total of...Well more hours or days than anyone in my household lol (Wait...Papa Jeff could be up close to me but i think i've won it so far :D) I'm pretty sure that i have gotten some smiles out of him...Or I'm just mezmorized by his cuteness that i think he's smiling...i don't know which one it is...He does smile in his sleep tho..I know that i've seen that for sure!!
I can't wait till he gets older and I'm able to barge in on him and his friends and tell 'em all about talking to him in his mommy's tummy and how he was just a cute little chap and how he peed on my hand in the bathroom at the fair and it freaked me out so i moved my hand really quick too see why all of a sudden my hand was warm all of a sudden and he peed all over his face and just embarrassing things like that. :D
This is our newest addition!!!
On September 4th 2009 our oldest daughter Mahaley had her baby! His name is Braxtyn Dean Chapman. When he was born he was 7 lb. 10 1/2 oz. and 21 1/2 inches long. He is just the cutest thing!!!

This is J.D. our oldest son. He loves to work and doesn't like to sit idle for very long.
Abby helped take care of this calf that had to be pulled. She affectionately calls her "Chewey".
It takes all kinds of muscles to wrangle these poor little things.

This past weekend all of the siblings, minus Austin in Fiji surprised Daddy by coming home to celebrate his 60th birthday. He was in a stupor wandering around trying to figure out what he had missed. There was no yell of surprise, everyone just showed up at the same time and acted like he should know what we were there for. It was great. If you know Daddy, it is rare that he is speechless. He finally figured it out after we watched the video of his life and we gave him the book of memories that had been complied by his wife, all of his children, grand kids, his parents, a cousin, an aunt and even some of his siblings. Jeff thought that it was impressive and very similar to what they often see at the funeral home minus the death date. lol! It was a beautiful weekend that was enjoyed by all. As I got in my van to go home on Monday afternoon I chuckled and told him to watch his back, to which he replied, "that was a terrible thing to do to an old guy" That is what he says when he is having trouble putting thoughts and feelings in to words. That's Daddy. We loved every minute of it. We love you Dad and hope there are many birthdays to come.

The kids are back in school but they just won't stay there.
It was a great break for the holidays. It would have been better if the snow would have lasted the whole time. The kids were excited to head back to school and I was as well. About 10:45 yesterday morning while I was in the grocery store I get a call that Noah had spewed at school and to come quick. Ugh! Now mind you Andrew had been sick all day Saturday and was much better Sunday, so I sent him to school. Noah had faked me out by saying he was sick in the morning and after a little while said he was better and was hungry for breakfast. ( i did however cancel his dentist appointment) Well to not drag out the story any longer Jeff, Courtney and Shelby have all fallen like flies and I am pretty green myself. That is 6 down in less than 72 hours! Any bets on the rest of the house? No just kidding, please do not jinx me.
